I had an exceptional experience with NCI University, specifically through the NCI Kit 1 course. The program was insightful, practical, and immediately applicable. I gained a much deeper understanding of how to observe subtle verbal and nonverbal cues, recognize underlying needs, and identify the decision pillars and values that drive behavior.

People constantly reveal themselves.

I've always been interested in people and what makes them tick. Learning that we all carry wounds from childhood that affect our adult behavior was eye opening, and it increased my understanding and compassion for others. I was amazed to learn how much people reveal about themselves through the language they use. Although there is definitely a learning curve when it comes to decoding a person's verbal cues, this course got me started down that path; and I know I'll get increasingly better with experience. If I had one suggestion that would make the course even better it would be to give more practice examples of people describing themselves. Each example that was accompanied by input from an NCI expert helped me hone my skills in mapping a person's behavior triangle.

It’s serious but often fun. Some truths might be a gut punch, but the awakening kind.
